On March 26, 2019 People’s Advocate Office, within the process of realizing the promotion activity for human rights by training, has initiated a training course in the field of human rights for the General Inspectorate of Carabineers. The training constitutes the result of a collaboration agreement between those two institutions which provide that People’s Advocate Office will conduct the trainings for carabineers with several topics related to observance of human rights.

The training „Ensuring public order through the light of human rights observance” started with studying some fundamental notions of this field and national and international standards. The objectives of training are informing carabineers about the standards and good practices in the field of human rights observance within realizing the mission of ensuring public order, about the concept on approaching based on human rights and constituting to carabineers some respect attitudes for the human rights values.

The trainees manifested interests for the discussed topic and actively participated to training. At those two activities conducted by Ion Miron, superior consultant in SGC of PAO and Tatiana Poiana, superior consultant in DMR of PAO have participated 41 petty officers.
