THE PEOPLE’S ADVOCATE OFFICE WILL REDUCE THE EXPENSES FORESEEN FOR 2020 BY ABOUT ONE MILLION MDL AND IS WILLING TO RETURN THEM IN THE STATE BUDGET SO THAT THESE FINANCIAL MEANS WILL BE REDIRECTED IN SUPPORT OF MEASURES TO COMBAT THE NEW TYPE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC.
The reduction of allowances for the People’s Advocate Office by approximately one million MDL is possible thanks to the revision of the expenditure compartments intended for the procurement of material goods and equipment, travel for work, the organization of activities planned by the institution in the reference year for the accomplishment of the People’s Advocates duties.
The People’s Advocates and the team of the People’s Advocate Office appeal to the President of the Republic of Moldova and call on the public institutions to review their budgets for the current year in order to identify resources that will be directed towards combating the COVID-19 pandemic or the consequences of the crisis caused by it.
